Whatever media you choose, remember that the storage point needs to be AWAY from the files being backed-up.

What to Back Up - Your Choice

  • Your Data - Files you have created. This could be everything found in My Computer or just selected folders.
  • Your whole computer contents, including settings and Operating System
Decide what is most important and how you might continue working should a computr fail/ get stolen. Consider the fact that a new computer would not accept Operating System settings from another machine very well. In the light of this, as a minimum just back up your data files as you can restore software from the original disks anyway.
